This article explains the Advance Ontario private institution cohort application process works.
The application located on the website will not help you to register for the private institution cohorts, as they are run separately through each school that is participating in one of the cohorts. In order to apply to the private institution cohort, you must be invited by your institution.
How does the program application process work?
The application form for the private institution cohorts will be emailed to the students who qualify for this process, determined by the institution.
Once the application limit for a cohort is met, the application will be closed. These opportunities are limited.
Students are welcome to apply to the general experience on the Advance Ontario website if they miss the opportunity to match with their school's private institution experience.
Things to know about the application process:
The Advance Ontario team, along with a team from each institution, carefully reviews each application.
Invitations to join Advance Ontario are not guaranteed and will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis for students who qualify.
Starting work off-platform before being officially invited to Advance Ontario and accepted into a project is not allowed and does not guarantee payment. To begin a project, you must first:
Be invited to Advance Ontario.
Apply to a project.
Be accepted by the employer.
Click "start project."
