There are 2 ways to create an in-class project: you can apply directly to a course, or submit a project to the in-class projects marketplace for educators to browse.
Applying to a Course
After signing up as an Employer, you can browse current class courses by clicking "Explore" and selecting "Courses." When you find a course you want to apply to and meet the requirements for, click the "Submit Project" button. Courses are hosted by educators to attract employers who would like to work with students.
After clicking "Submit Project," you will be prompted to create a new project from scratch or select from your existing projects to apply with. You can also select a template to work from. You will need to provide information about the student project you would like to pursue.
Once you're finished, click "Submit." The educator will be notified and should reach out to you within 2 weeks to make sure the project is a good fit. They may ask you to make changes to the project scope before approving or declining your submission.
Directly to the Marketplace
After signing up as an Employer on Riipen, you can create a project by clicking the “Create Project” button under the "My Projects" tab on your dashboard.
Your Project will be submitted to the Project Library. Professors browse these projects and can invite you into their courses. Keep an eye out for a request in your notifications centre in the top right! You will also get an email letting you know when you have a request.
Tip: Once you've created a project, you can also use it to apply to courses.
