*Please note that Level UP has a waitlist for new projects as of May 3, 2021, to allow our team time to perform administrative work and catch up to all pending requests. We will be in touch via the provided email with more details soon.*

Go through the step by step sign up process to create a profile for your company, or find your company if it already has a profile on Riipen. You will also set up a personal account under your own email.
Note: If creating a new company profile, you’ll be choosing between our Basic and Premium plans. Level UP is included on both tiers, and no payment is required unless you wish to access Premium features.

Once you’ve created your account and company profile, your next step is to Create a Project. You’ll see this option in your dashboard. Access your dashboard at any time by clicking on your profile image in the top right-hand corner.
Tip: You’ll need to verify your email before you can publish your project. Check your junk or spam folders if you don’t see the confirmation email in your inbox.

You can create a project from scratch or choose one from our template library (recommended).

If you choose from our Template Library, choose an area of interest with the Level UP logo from the left hand side, then click “Create with Template” in the top right-hand corner.

Once there, begin to customize your project. If you only want your project to be available to the Level UP program (and not to professors using Riipen in the classroom), we recommend turning off the “Course” option in the first step.

Add a descriptive title, and summarize the work you want a student (or multiple students) to complete. Make sure the expected outcomes for your business are clear to students, and that they can get a sense of the scope of work from your description.

Projects should provide 80 hours of work per student participating. You choose the number of students you want to take on.

Under “Write a description of your project”, be sure to write and bold a sentence that reflects the number of students required:

  • Number of individual students required: (Example: 5 students)

  • Number of students required to work in team: (Example: 2 teams of 3 students)

Please put this as the first sentence before going into the description of your project.

Continue through the steps in the wizard. You can return to your project at any time to make edits.

A few things to note:

When you’ve gone through the wizard and hit “Publish” on the last step, your project is now live in the Riipen marketplace.

To submit your project to the Level UP program, go to “Explore” in the top right-hand corner of the page, choose “Internship Programs” from the drop down menu, and click on it.

Type “Level UP” into the search bar on the left-hand side of the page. You’ll see all Level UP programs, separated by subject area, and can select the one that’s most suitable for your project.

Click “Submit Project” to submit your project to the Level UP team for review. Write a brief introduction to our team to kick off the conversation.

That’s it! You’ll be notified in the platform when your request has been reviewed by our team. You can view the status of your request any time by clicking the “Inbox” icon in the top navigation bar, or by checking the "Requests" tab of your project page.

Note: If you do not want your project to be considered for any other opportunity outside of Level UP, you will want to go to the Settings tab of the project page, and change your project from Open to Closed.

When your project is approved by us, you’ll receive an email from Riipen alerting you. This email will provide a link to allow you to set your preferred dates for the project completion and any milestones. We recommend leaving these blank for now and filling them in after you've approved and a student and discussed the timeline.

The “Matches” tab of your project will show the Level UP program you’ve matched with, and any other opportunities you may match with in future.

Students will apply directly to your project. You’ll be alerted by email about new applications, and can view these under the Matches tab as well by clicking on the number under the Applications column.

Final Notes:

  • Your project should be acknowledged within 5 business days.

  • Should you have additional questions, please email or click on the little orange chat bubble at the bottom of every Riipen page.

  • There is no cost for you to post to a Level UP project.

  • Riipen will pay the students at the end of the project a stipend of $1400.

  • You can post an unlimited number of projects and take on an unlimited number of students as long as you have the bandwidth to provide the required mentorship component.
