Once a student has been chosen to work on a Level UP project, the employer will need to “accept” their application through Riipen.
This will automatically create a “team” for the student(s) on Riipen. They will be able to access this from their dashboard. A student (or team leader if this is for a team) will need to click on the “Start Project” button when the project is ready to start.
Note: If you have multiple students working on your project, they can click "Start Project" at different times, as long as each student still completes their project within 2-8 weeks.
Employers and students are welcome to use the messaging function on Riipen to communicate throughout the project. If you would like to use any other communication tools, those should be shared in the conversation as soon as possible.
Once the 80-hour project has been completed, students will need to submit the final project through Riipen. The exit survey will automatically launch. The student will be asked to complete the questions and provide their email address (honorarium payments are done through email money transfers). Employers are given four business days to confirm or dispute that the project has been successfully completed, and the student will be paid on the fifth business day (if not sooner).
If you would like to expedite the payment process for the student, leaving feedback on Riipen is a great way to indicate to our team that the project has been successfully completed!
