Deadlines for actions in Pathways to Environmental Careers
Updated over a week ago

Throughout the Pathways to Environmental Careers program, there are specific deadlines in the various stages of your journey as you work towards completing an employer project and receiving your stipend payment.

Stage expirations are time limits set within the program to ensure that stipends are available for learners who actively engage and work towards completing employer projects. Stage expirations are implemented for different steps of the program, each with its own timeframe and outcomes if they expire. Allowing any of these stages to expire could result in a strike per our three strike system. You are notified of the pending stage expiration date throughout your ECO Pathways journey to help ensure that you never miss a step.

Stage

Time until expiry

What happens if the stage expires?

Learner - invitation to join the Pathways to Environmental Careers program

7 days

from when you receive your email invite

Your program invitation expires and you must reach out to the ECO Pathways team to gain access to the program. There is no guarantee that your space in the program will still be available if you miss the deadline to join. You can reach our team at ecopathways@riipen.com

Learner -

joining the program -> first application to an employer project

7 days

from when you join the ECO Pathways portal

If you have entered the ECO Pathways program and not applied for employer projects you will receive a final reminder email at 5 days.

If our team doesn’t hear from you before 7 days, we reserve the right to remove you from the program.

We understand that it takes a bit of time to explore and find the right fit, and we want to ensure that you're set up for success to apply for employer projects. If you're unsure where to start, check out our help article to guide you through the process.

Project duration

2 - 6 weeks

This is evaluated on a case-by-case basis by the ECO Pathways team.

If the project timeline is less than two weeks, it is likely it will be deemed incomplete and ineligible for a stipend payment.

If both the learner and employer collectively agree to change the end date, you must notify the ECO Pathways team (ecopathways@riipen.com) a minimum of 5 business days prior to the end date currently recorded on the platform.

Last project end date

March 22nd 2024

Employer projects taking place between January 2024 and March 2024 must be completed by no later than March 22nd 2024. Participant and employer exit surveys and employer feedback must also be submitted by March 22nd 2024.
