What is the AME-UP?
The Advanced Manufacturing Engineers Upskilling Program (AME-UP) is a 16-week career accelerator aimed at connecting Canadian technical talent with the cleantech sector. It includes a 4-week work integrated learning opportunity to provide hands-on experience.

Who is eligible to participate in the program?
Participants are brought to the program after completing a 10-week program. Participants have at least 3 years of experience in STEM or related industries, are legally eligible to work in Canada, and possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and design skills. They are adaptable and willing to learn new technologies relevant to the clean-tech sector.
Is there a cost to participate in the program?
No, the program is free for all employers, and participants will receive a $3000CAD stipend at the end of their 4 week placement from Riipen.
What kind of projects will participants work on?
Participants will engage in hands-on projects that focus on sustainability challenges, clean energy innovations, and carbon emission reductions. They will apply their existing STEM knowledge alongside newly acquired clean-tech skills.

What deliverables can participants submit to employers?
Participants can submit several deliverables, including:
Project Proposal Document
Technical Report
Prototype or Simulation Model

How does the work integrated learning opportunity work?
