Employers must read and adhere to these terms and conditions to participate in AME-UP. Riipen reserves the right to remove or suspend participants for violations.

1. Eligibility Requirements

To participate in AME-UP, I confirm that:

  • My organisation is located in Canada, and is a registered Canadian business.

  • I am not a representative of a publicly funded post-secondary institution.

  • My organisation and I will not claim any payment from students or receive any portion of the student stipend.

  • I will not create multiple active accounts or participate using more than two companies, each of which must undergo ID verification.

2. Project Timeline

  • Projects will begin February 10th, 2025 and end no later than March 7th, 2025.

  • Projects must be completed within the cohort’s 4-week period, with a minimum of 2 weeks.

  • Students will complete a total of 60 hours of work, with a maximum of 30 hours per week and no more than 10 hours per day.

  • All projects must be finished by the cohort’s end date, or students will be ineligible for payment.

  • There are no exceptions to these timelines.

3. Project Requirements

  • Each company may participate in multiple projects.

  • As a condition of participation in a cohort, I understand that participants will be matched to my projects by Foresight.

  • I will clearly define the project scope and ensure it requires no more than 60 hours of work per participant.

  • No fees will be charged to students, including training or application licences.

  • I agree to be available for discussions with the AME-UP coordinator to confirm project appropriateness.

  • Participants must be accepted on the Riipen platform before starting a project. No retroactive recording of students or projects is allowed.

  • I will provide a minimum of 5 hours of mentorship per student, including regular check-ins.

  • Upon project completion, I will submit feedback confirming the student's work and hours. If the work is incomplete, I will notify Riipen by submitting a Dispute Resolution ticket through the Avocado support feature in the bottom right corner of the Riipen website.

4. Student Payment Eligibility

  • Payment is only available to students registered on the Riipen platform under Advanced Manufacturing Engineers Upskilling Program (AME-UP) .

  • Students are considered workers of Riipen Networks Inc., with Riipen ensuring compliance with Ontario’s Work Safe requirements.

5. Respectful Behaviour Agreement

I agree to:

  • Conduct myself with respect and professionalism at all times. This includes refraining from harassment, discrimination, hate speech, and abusive behaviour.

  • Understand that any violation of this agreement may result in immediate removal, suspension, or termination without notice.

  • Accept that Riipen’s determination of disrespectful conduct is final and binding.

  • Be solely responsible for my behaviour while using this service.
