Participation Overview
To participate in a Calbright Academic Project through Riipen, all learners must review and adhere to the following expectations.
This agreement outlines your responsibilities as a learner and helps ensure a professional, respectful, and meaningful Work-Based Learning experience for you, your teammates, and employer partners.
By joining a project, you confirm that you understand and agree to the expectations below.
1. Eligibility & Readiness
By participating in a Calbright Academic Project, I confirm that:
I have completed any required prerequisite coursework and learner onboarding
I understand that this is a 6-week, structured cohort experience with fixed timelines and shared deadlines
I understand that access to projects is provided only to verified learners within an approved cohort
Before beginning project work, I must:
Accept my invitation to the Riipen experience
Complete any required pre-project surveys or agreements
Join one project only during the designated self-assignment window
2. Commitment to the Full Experience
I understand that participation requires a full commitment for the duration of the cohort.
By joining a project, I agree to:
Participate from the official start date through the final submission date
Meet all required milestones and deadlines
Communicate early if challenges arise
I acknowledge that withdrawing late or failing to complete required deliverables may:
Negatively impact my teammates
Affect the employer partner’s experience
Impact my academic standing or eligibility for future cohorts
3. Individual Responsibility with Shared Communication
I understand that I will complete this project individually, and that I am fully responsible for:
Completing my own work
Submitting my own deliverables
Meeting all deadlines and requirements
I understand that I will participate in shared group chats with other learners and the employer partner to support communication and coordination.
Participation in group discussions does not replace my responsibility to submit my own work on my individual team page.
4. Professional Conduct & Communication
I agree to conduct myself professionally at all times.
This includes:
Communicating respectfully and in a timely manner with teammates, employers, and Calbright staff
Using the Riipen platform for all project-related communication unless otherwise approved
Being prepared for meetings and following through on commitments
Unprofessional behavior or lack of engagement may result in removal from the experience.
5. Engagement & Deliverables
I understand that successful completion of the project requires active participation and timely submission of deliverables.
Required deliverables typically include:
Project Brief & Work Plan
Midpoint Progress Update
Final Deliverables
Executive Presentation (if required)
Surveys
I understand that:
Deliverables must be employer-ready
Work should reflect real project needs and professional standards
All submissions must be completed through the Riipen platform
6. Integrity, Confidentiality & Use of AI
I agree to act with academic and professional integrity at all times.
This includes:
Completing my work honestly and responsibly
Complying with any employer confidentiality or NDA requirements, if applicable
Using AI-enabled tools responsibly and transparently, in accordance with program guidance
If I use AI tools (including the Calbright AI Coach), I understand that:
AI may support planning, reflection, or clarification
I remain fully responsible for the accuracy, quality, and originality of my final work
Acknowledgement
By joining a Calbright Academic Project, I acknowledge my responsibility to:
Fully engage in this professional learning experience
Uphold the standards of Calbright College and its employer partners
Contribute to a respectful, collaborative, and high-quality project environment
Failure to meet these expectations may result in removal from the experience or loss of completion recognition.
