1. Visit ict.riipen.com/learners-skills and click on “Apply”.
2. In a new tab you will be prompted to complete the application form.
Spaces on the ICT Ignite Skills program are limited, and we want to make sure this internship opportunity aligns with your career goals. You will be asked to share how
ICT Ignite Skills can support your career ambitions and what type of digital tech employer projects are you looking to apply for.
3. We will confirm we have received your application via email. If your application is successful you will then receive an email inviting you to join the ICT Ignite portal.
4. To sign up, click the ‘Create your Riipen account’ button in your acceptance email and choose to sign up by clicking “Get Started” or click Log In in the top right corner if you already have a Riipen account.
5. Next, fill in your information in the fields below and click “Create account”.
6. Next, add your pronouns (optional), location, and choose up to 5 categories that interest you (ex: UX Design, Marketing, Information Technology, Graphic Design, etc.).
7. Once complete, you will be taken to the ICT Ignite Riipen portal. You can then further edit your profile by including a bio and uploading your resume. This will be shared with employers when you apply to their projects.
8. Select the ‘ICT Ignite Skills - Digital Tech Projects’ under Portal -> Programs, from the left navigation.
9. On joining the program, you will be asked to verify that you meet the ICT Ignite Skills eligibility criteria, as outlined in our Terms and Conditions here. You will be redirected to our 3rd party identification provider, Persona, to complete an identity verification.
You will be required to:
Verify your identity with a selfie and a Government issued photo ID
We recommend that you have these items available to you at sign up so that you can enter the program as smoothly as possible. For more info on the verification process, view this article here.
10. Lastly, you will need to click “Sign Agreements” to formally agree to the ICT Ignite Skills Terms and Conditions.
