Find the right experiences for your project from a portal's private marketplace

If your company holds a portal pass for any given institution’s portal, you gain access to its exclusive private marketplace, where you can explore a curated selection of experiences tailored to connect with projects from companies within the network. While retaining the same search and filter functionalities, submitting requests within the portal marketplace significantly heightens the chances of finding a suitable match, as your company already holds recognition within the portal's network.

Saved searches

Have specific criteria for experiences you're seeking to fulfill? Search for that criteria in the open marketplace and save your search. You'll easily re-apply the exact same search criteria with a click of a button when you revisit the open marketplace, and we'll send you new experiences that meet those criteria straight to your inbox as they become available.

Recommendations

Once you obtain a portal pass and start browsing the portal’s private marketplace. we'll learn about your preferred experiences and send you tailored recommendations straight to your inbox as they become available. Easily adjust the frequency of these recommendations or turn them on or off as needed from your user settings.

Match requests

Once you have found the right experience, or an educator has found your project and believes it is a great fit for their experience, you will be able to utilize the match request tools and workflows to:

  • Have a private conversation with the educator where you can discuss details, book meetings, and have video conference calls using the message center.

  • Propose and negotiate changes to the project scope and details and easily see what has been proposed vs the original project description

  • Use double-sided acceptance for match requests, ensuring mutual satisfaction with all details before progressing further.

How to

Find experiences in a private marketplace

To find experiences in a portal’s private marketplace:

  1. Your company must first obtain a portal pass for the desired institution’s portal. Learn more

  2. Once you have obtained a portal pass and are in the portals workspace, click on the "Find experiences" button in the top navigation bar.

  3. Browse the marketplace for experiences that interest you.

If you only think your project might be a good fit, you should send a match request anyways. Educators will collaborate with you to define a suitable project scope for their learners, and you can adjust your project description to accommodate their requirements during the match request process.

Create a saved search

To save a specific set of search criteria that you have applied in order to reuse it later and be sent automatic recommendations of experiences which meet that criteria:

  1. Navigate to the open marketplace

  2. Enter the search criteria you wish to filter experiences by

  3. Click the heart icon next to the filters

  4. Give your specific criteria a name

  5. Check the "I want to receive an alert when new content matching my search criteria is published" checkbox

  6. Click "Save"

You’ve now created a saved search. You may create as many saved searches as you need.

Submit a match request

After you have found a suitable experience you wish to match with, you can send a match request by following these steps:

  1. Click the "Request match" button on the experience you wish to match with.

  2. Click "Select project" to use an existing project, or select "Create new" to create a new project for the experience.

  3. Follow the step-by-step prompts on screen to create your match request as needed.

  4. Click "Send request" on the final step.

Your match request is now submitted. The experience administrators will receive a notification alerting them to your match request, and you will be put into a conversation with them where you can discuss the project details, timeline, and general expectations.

Receive experience recommendations

Based on the activity you take, you will receive recommendations of experiences from the private marketplace which meet your needs.

In order to receive recommendations you will need to:

  • Perform any search in the open marketplace

  • Create a saved search in the open marketplace

  • Have a project open to match requests which is posted in the open marketplace

If you meet any of this criteria, you will receive recommendations straight to your inbox.
