Customize your match request settings to meet your needs

Updated over a week ago

As part of sending and receiving match request, you will be able to configure your experience to meet needs you might have around volumes of received requests, timings, setting limitations, and more.

General

Custom questions

Educators are able to set custom questions on an experience that will be asked to employers who submit match requests to the experience. These questions can be used to help educators filter projects by outlining specific needs and criteria up front such as detailed project needs, mandatory meetings / availability for learners, NDA requirements, resources the employer needs to provide to learners, or any other criteria the educator is looking for.

Limits

As an experience administrator you can set limits on the following options to better meet your needs:

  • The number of days received requests take to expire - Setting a higher limit here might help you if you are expecting a high volume of match requests to allow you to more time to properly vet projects and employers

  • The number of received pending match requests - Setting a limit here will automatically close your experience to received match requests once you have receive the set amount. This is helpful if you want to only deal with say 5 received match requests at a time.

  • The number of matches per company - If you want to promote a diverse set of companies that the projects you are receiving are coming from, you can set this number to prevent companies from submitting too many projects, thus allowing other companies to get a chance to match their projects.

  2. Click the "Settings" tab

  3. Click the "Match requests" tab in the "Matchmaking" group

  4. Check / uncheck "Enable compatibility checks between this experience and projects in match requests"

It is strongly advised not to disable these checks as they help both you and employers determine compatibility with projects and avoid sending / receiving bad match requests.

Set a maximum matched projects per company

To set a maximum number of matched projects per company for your experience:

  1. Navigate to your experience

  2. Click the "Settings" tab

  5. Click "Submit"

This limit only prevents the company from sending more match requests to the experience. If you wish to circumvent this limit for a company, you can always send the match request yourself.
