Working with external projects inside your experience

If you have projects you want to use in your experience that come from outside of Riipen, but want all the convenience of tracking projects, companies, and learners in a single sport, you can import those external projects into your experience.

Main benefits of project imports to experiences:

  • Manage all of your projects in one spot

  • Ensure all of your learners get access to equal project benefits

  • Ease of managing learners and employers in a single spot

Outcomes

When importing a projects into an experience, several outcomes may occur depending on the company and employer your are using for the imported project.

Imported data

For a full list of imported data available, see our full import guide here, but at a bare minimum, you will need to have available:

  • Company name

    • Type: String

    • Description: The name of the company who the project is for. This field is case sensitive.

  • Email

    • Type: String

    • Description: This email address of the employer who will be running the project on behalf of the company. This field is case insensitive.

  • Project name

    • Type: String

    • Description: The name of the project to be imported.

How to

Import a project manually

To import a project manually:

  1. Navigate to your experience

  2. Click the "Matches" tab

  3. Click the on ellipsis menu and select "Import single project"

  4. You will be directed to a step-by-step process where you will fill in all the relevant details and import the project.

You can repeat this process as many times as you'd like to import multiple projects.

Import projects via CSV file

To import projects using a CSV file containing their information from an offline source, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to your experience and click the "Matches" tab

  2. Click on the ellipsis menu and select "Import multiple projects".
