Create custom questions for employers who submit match requests to an experience

Updated this week

Educators are able to set custom questions on an experience that will be asked to employers who submit match requests to the experience. These questions can be used to help educators filter projects by outlining specific needs and criteria up front such as detailed project needs, mandatory meetings / availability for learners, NDA requirements, resources the employer needs to provide to learners, or any other criteria the educator is looking for.

How to

Create custom questions

To create custom matchmaking questions:

  1. Navigate to the experience

  2. Click the "Settings" tab

  3. Click the "Match requests" tab in the "Matchmaking" group

  4. Scroll down to the "Match request questions" section.

  5. Add any number of questions by filling in the details.

  6. Ensure that the "Enable match requests question set" checkbox is checked.

  7. Click "Submit" to save your changes.

When an employer submits a match request to your experience, they will be prompted to answer the questions you have now set.

Disable custom questions

If you would like to keep your questions saved but no longer require employers to answer them as part of the match request process, you can disable them by following these steps:

  1. Navigate to the experience

  2. Click the "Settings" tab

  3. Click the "Match requests" tab in the "Matchmaking" group

  4. Uncheck "Enable match requests question set"

  5. Click "Submit" to save your changes.

Edit and delete custom questions

You can edit existing questions, add new ones, or delete existing ones at any time by following these steps:

  1. Navigate to the experience

  2. Click the "Settings" tab

  3. Click the "Match requests" tab in the "Matchmaking" group

  4. Make any changes you wish to the questions

  5. Click "Submit" to save your changes

If you delete a question, any existing match requests which had previously answered it will still have their answers retained and viewable on the match request.
