1. Eligibility Requirements
To participate in Level UP, I confirm that:
I represent a not-for-profit employer, public sector employer, or private sector employer.
My organisation is a registered Canadian business, with a valid registered business number.
I am not a representative of a publicly funded post-secondary institution.
I am not a member of the House of Commons or the Senate,
an organization that engages in partisan political activities, and/or federal, provincial, territorial and municipal government.My organisation and I will not claim any payment from students or receive any portion of the student stipend.
I will not create multiple active accounts or participate using more than two companies, each of which must undergo ID verification.
I will not collaborate with family members or employees on Level UP projects.

Last Day for Employers to Request a Project Match
Employers must submit their requests for student matches by this date to participate in the final project matching period. This includes signing the program agreements and confirming the match to the experience.February 12 - 14:
Final Employer Project Matching Period
During this period, employers will finalize their project details if needed, based on the Level UP team’s proposed changes.February 17, 2025:
Students Invited
Students who are successful in the application process will receive their official invitations to join the cohort.February 17 - 21, 2025:
Student Project Application Period
Students will apply to projects during this window. You can apply to up to 3 projects. The first employer to accept your application is the project that you will work on. There are no opportunities to change projects once you are added to a project.February 27, 2025:
Project Start Date
Projects officially begin. Students and employers should start their collaboration from this date, and students must complete the onboarding survey and hit “Start Project” in the platform in order to confirm the project's participation in the cohort.March 31, 2025:

Exit Survey & Feedback
Once projects are submitted, both employers and students need to complete the exit survey and provide feedback for one another on the platform. A reminder that student payment will be withheld up to 5 weeks or until the survey is completed & employers have provided their feedback.April 1 - May 30, 2025:

After the project completion, the payment process will begin for eligible students. Visit Payments for more details.
3. Project Requirements
Each company may participate in multiple cohorts but is limited to two projects per cohort and a maximum of four students per project.
As a condition of participation in this cohort, I understand that students will self-assign to the project and I am required to work with the students who self-assign to my project.
I will clearly define the project scope and ensure it requires no more than 60 hours of work per student.
No fees will be charged to students, including training or application licences.
I agree to be available for discussions with the Level UP coordinator to confirm project appropriateness.
Students must be accepted on the Riipen platform with their team matched to a project before starting a project. No retroactive recording of students or projects is allowed.
I will provide a minimum of 5 hours of mentorship per student, including regular check-ins.
Once a student is matched to my project, no changes or accommodations will be made. I must complete the project as outlined with that student.
Upon project completion, I will complete the exit survey and submit feedback confirming the student's work and hours. If the work is incomplete, I will notify Riipen by submitting a Dispute Resolution ticket through the Avocado support feature in the bottom right corner of the Riipen website.
4. Student Payment Eligibility
Payment is only available to students registered on the Riipen platform under Level UP.
Students are considered workers of Riipen Networks Inc., with Riipen ensuring compliance with Ontario’s Work Safe requirements.
Riipen reserves the right to determine student eligibility for payment. Only projects meeting all terms will qualify.
5. Respectful Behaviour Agreement
I agree to:
Conduct myself with respect and professionalism at all times. This includes refraining from harassment, discrimination, hate speech, and abusive behaviour.
Understand that any violation of this agreement may result in immediate removal, suspension, or termination without notice.
Accept that Riipen’s determination of disrespectful conduct is final and binding.
Be solely responsible for my behaviour while using this service.
6. Changes to Terms
These terms and conditions may be updated at any time without prior notice.
