Riipen FuturePath Program: Key Dates

Riipen FuturePath connects businesses with the brightest emerging talent, creating a direct pathway from education to employment. Students gain real-world experience, build essential skills, and establish career connections with top employers. For businesses, it’s a chance to fuel innovation, access fresh perspectives, and secure top talent before they enter the workforce. This article details important dates for both students and employers depending on which cohort you are participating in.

What is a Cohort?

A cohort refers to a group of students who participate in a specific term of the Riipen FuturePath program. Each cohort operates within set dates, during which students engage with employer projects. This structure allows for organized timelines and ensures that students and employers can collaborate effectively. Students and employers must apply to participate in each cohort.

Projects will start and end on the following dates for the cohorts:

  • June 2025 Cohort

    • Start period: Jun 2, 2025 - Jul 28, 2025

    • End period: Jun 16, 2025 - Sep 19, 2025

  • August 2025 Cohort

    • Start period: Aug 4, 2025 - Sep 29, 2025

    • End period: Aug 18, 2025 - Nov 21, 2025

  • October 2025 Cohort

    • Start period: Oct 6, 2025 - Dec 1, 2025

    • End period: Oct 20, 2025 - Jan 23, 2026

  • January 2026 Cohort

    • Start period: Jan 5, 2026 - Feb 27, 2026

    • End period: Jan 19, 2026 - Apr 24, 2026

June 2025 Cohort

Projects must align with following cohort schedule:

April 22nd 2025:

​Students are invited to confirm their eligibility, and indicate interest through the eligibility form.

May 5, 2025:

​Students Invited to Submit a Riipen FuturePath Program Application

Riipen FuturePath Program applications are open and students are invited to confirm their eligibility by completing the eligibility application & then FuturePath Program application . Visit our application process help article for more details.

May 5, 2025:

​Cohort open for Employer Projects

​Employers are invited to request to match their projects to the June 2025 Cohort. Visit How to Apply to FuturePath: Employers for more details.

June 2, 2025:

​Students Invited

​Students who are successful in the application process will receive their official invitations to join the cohort, where they will verify their identity and begin applying to projects!

June 9 - July 18, 2025:

​Student Project Application Period

​Students will apply to projects during this window. You can apply to up to 5 projects. Employers will then begin to conduct interviews and once you have been chosen to work on a project, you will have the opportunity to accept the project. Please note that all students must apply to at least one project by June 27, 2025 or they will be removed from the cohort.

June 27, 2025

​Last Day for Employers to Request a Project Match

​Employers must submit their requests for student matches by this date to participate in the final project matching period. This includes signing the program agreements, providing your credit card information, verifying your identity and confirming the match to the experience.

June 2 - July 28, 2025:

​Project Start Date Window

​Projects must start within this window. Students and employers must start their collaboration within this date range. Students must complete the onboarding survey and hit “Start” in the platform in order to confirm the project's participation in the cohort.

June 16 - September 19, 2025:

​Project End Date Window

​All projects must be completed within this date range. Projects must be completed within a 2-8 week from their starting date. Exceeding 8 weeks may result in the project not being eligible for payment.. Visit Guide for completing a Riipen FuturePath project for more details.

June 16 - September 19, 2025:

​Exit Survey & Feedback

Once projects are submitted, both employers and students need to complete the exit survey and provide feedback for one another on the platform. A reminder that employers are required to provide feedback to students, as well as their exit survey, in order to participate in a future cohort.

By October 31, 2025:

​Payment Period

​After the project completion, the payment process will begin for eligible students. Visit Payments for more details.

​Students will apply to projects during this window. You can apply to up to 5 projects. ​Last Day for Employers to Request a Project Match

Employers will then begin to conduct interviews and once you have been chosen to work on a project, you will have the opportunity to accept the project. Please note that all students must apply to at least one project by January 30th, 2026 or they will be removed from the cohort.

January 30, 2026

​Last Day for Employers to Request a Project Match

​Employers must submit their requests for student matches by this date to participate in the final project matching period. This includes signing the program agreements, providing your credit card information, verifying your identity and confirming the match to the experience.

January 5 - February 27, 2026:
