Based on activity you take, you will receive notifications alerting you to specific actions, upcoming items you need to take action on, and the actions of others. These notifications can be managed on your account to determine which notifications you receive and which delivery method you receive them on such as email, SMS, or in-app.
General
Reply via email
When you receive certain email notifications, you can reply to that email from your inbox and your reply will be sent as a message in the conversation which is tied to that notification. No need to leave your inbox!
You can also attach files to your reply to have those files be added to the message in the original conversation as well.
SMS notifications
When you sign up, you will be prompted to add a phone number and enable SMS notifications to stay up-to-date on your projects/experiences. SMS notifications offer the convenience of receiving real-time updates and important alerts directly on your mobile device, ensuring you never miss crucial information.
You can easily manage phone numbers associated with your user account. This includes adding a new phone number or changing the primary phone number. Only verified primary phone numbers will receive notification text messages, and only if you have opted-in to SMS notifications.
Digests
For educators and employers, depending on actions you take, you may be sent a digest email containing recommendations for possible possible future projects and experiences to match with.
Preferences
Most notifications you receive can be toggled on or off on a per notification type and per delivery method basis. This can also be done in bulk by disabling all notifications based on a particular delivery method such as email.
Some notifications cannot be disabled. These are often mission critical notifications or "receipt" style notifications which may involve items such as payments, tax slips, or other critical information that we are required to provide to you by law.
Any digests you receive can be toggled on or off as well and can have their frequency changed between daily, weekly, or monthly.

How to
Edit notification preferences and delivery methods
To edit your notification preferences and delivery methods:
Click on your user avatar in the top navigation bar and select "Settings"
Click the "Notifications" tab in the "General" group
From here you can simply check or uncheck which notifications you prefer to receive.
Disable all email notifications
If you would like to disable all email notifications:
Click on your user avatar in the top navigation bar and select "Settings"
Click the "Notifications" tab in the "General" group
Click the "Disable" button under "Disable all emails" panel
This will prevent you from receiving any automated emails from Riipen.
Enable all email notifications
If you have previously disabled all email notifications and would like to re-enabled them:
Click on your user avatar in the top navigation bar and select "Settings"
Click the "Notifications" tab in the "General" group
Click the "Enable" button under "Re-enable emails" panel
