Connecting Riipen with Canvas through LTI makes it simple for learners to move seamlessly from a Canvas course assignment to the linked Riipen experience.
When a learner opens the Canvas assignment:
They’re taken directly into the corresponding Riipen experience.
An account is automatically created for them — no signup needed.
They’re instantly enrolled as a learner in the experience.

How to connect Riipen & Canvas:
1. Add Riipen as an App in Canvas
You only need to complete these steps once to set up Riipen in Canvas:
Sign in to Canvas as a Teacher or Administrator.
In your Course Navigation menu, select Settings, then click View App Configurations.
Click + App.
Enter the required details in the fields below, then select Submit.

2. Connect a Canvas Assignment to a Riipen Experience
The steps below link your Canvas Assignment to a Riipen Experience, giving learners instant access when accessing the link — no signup required.
Select Add Assignment
2. In the submission type dropdown, select External Tool
3. In the Enter or Find an External Tool field URL field, enter the following URL:
https://subdomain.riipen.com/lti/experiences/experienceid

Replace subdomain with your Riipen Portal subdomain
Replace experienceid with your Riipen Experience ID

With your Riipen Experience page open, the subdomain and Experience ID can be found in the URL. In the example below, the subdomain is riipenu and the Experience ID is WVjBEQV4.
4. Select Load this tool in a new tab
5. Select Save & Publish
Clicking your new assignment should now bring you to your Riipen Experience. Complete these steps for each new Riipen Experience or Canvas Course
