As an educator you can create custom project templates to link to your experiences. Employers can then use these templates to create projects for your experience. Creating a project template for your experience allows you to make it clear what you expect the project scope to be and saves time for both parties when deciding if the project will be a good fit for your learners.
Creating custom project templates as an educator
To create a new custom project template for your experience, complete the following steps:
Go to your experience settings, then click on the "Project templates" tab. Here you will be able to see all the templates linked to your experience. Click on the "Link template" button to create or link a template.
You will be taken to the project template library where you can choose to either create a new template or link an existing template. Click on the "+ Create template" button in the top-right corner to create a new template.
Enter the required details for your new project template and click submit to save the project to the template library.
To link this new template or an existing template to your experience, choose the template you want to link, then click "Link template". You will then see a modal asking you to confirm the experience you want to link the template to. Select the experience and click submit.
Employers will now see this template when viewing your experience, which they can use to create a project for your experience.
Unlinking templates from your experience
To unlink previously linked templates from your experience, go to your experience settings and click on the "Project templates" tab. You will see all the linked templates here. Click on the trash icon next to the template you wish to remove.
How employers apply using project templates
To apply to an experience using a project template linked by the educator, complete the following steps:
Go to the experience you are interested in and click on the "Templates" tab. Here you will see all templates linked by the educator.
Select the template, review the content to ensure it fits your project scope, and click "Use template".
You will then be directed to the project wizard to fill in any additional information that is required and make any changes.
Once you complete the project wizard, you will directed to the match request wizard where you can request to match with the experience you created a project for.
