Requesting a date change for your project.

We understand that flexibility is important when completing projects. Unforeseen circumstances or changes in priorities may necessitate adjusting the timeline for a project. If you find yourself in a situation where you need to change a date for your project, you can request a date change.

Main benefits of the date change request feature:

  • Allows for more flexible project timelines.

  • Streamlines the date change process for users by notifying them when a date change request is made and automatically updating dates upon acceptance.

  • Facilitates better communication and coordination among users with a transparent and organized system for managing date changes.

Please note that you may only request a date change if the dates were set by your team.

How to

Request a date change

To initiate a date change request, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the team for your project and click on the “Settings” tab.

  2. If the dates were set by your team, you will see a “Timeline” tab

  3. Click the “Request date change” button and enter the new dates.

  4. Click “Submit”. Your request will now be reviewed by the employer, who may choose to accept or decline these date changes.

Respond to a date change request

To respond to a date change request from the employer, follow these steps:

  1. Your team will receive an email and platform notification if an employer has requested to change your team's project dates.

  2. Click on the “Respond” button in the email or the platform notification.

  3. Review the request, ensuring that the proposed dates work for all your team members.

  4. Accept or decline the request.

If you want to change the dates for your project and the dates are set by the employer. Please reach out to the employer first to discuss any concerns you have about the timeline. The employer has the option to request a date change on their match with the experience. Learn more
