Youth Thrive Program - Terms & Conditions

I attest that I am either a not-for-profit or a registered charity

I attest that I am located in Canada

I attest that I am a registered Canadian business with a valid CRA business number.

I attest that I am not an elected official or an organization that engages in partisan political activities, and/or federal, state, and municipal government.

I understand and attest that neither the company nor I can charge participants any form of payment to participate in the project and shall not directly profit from their participation.

I attest that I have signed all required paperwork provided by The Career Foundation

I understand that the project timelines must align with the Youth Thrive program schedule.

I understand that employer projects should be completed over 3-6 months

I understand I will be matched with a team of 2-6 Youth Thrive participants to work on my project.

I understand that I must provide ongoing mentorship and guidance to the participants who are working on my project(s). I must be responsive to any questions, and check in on progress to help ensure a good result.

I understand that participants of Youth Thrive Program projects are engaged via Riipen Networks Inc., and as such, Riipen meets all Occupational and Health Standard requirements legislated by federal and state governments.

I acknowledge I must provide participants with all relevant information concerning health and safety standards and regulations with regard to their work environment to include any and all required safety equipment to complete their work. This must be completed within the first week of the project.

Youth Thrive Program is offered by Riipen in partnership with Youth Thrive. I understand that as part of the initiative, Youth Thrive would like to have the opportunity to check in with me periodically to ask some follow-up questions and to provide information about future opportunities. To that end, I agree to engage in follow-up sessions with Youth Thrive.

I confirm that I am a participant of the Youth Thrive program and have completed all requirements provided by the program leads prior to this volunteer placement.

I acknowledge and agree that I am not, and will not become, by participating in this program, an employee of Riipen Networks Inc., Youth Thrive, or any affiliated project partner company.

I understand that I must communicate with the employer partner during the project to fully understand the project scope and ensure work is on track.
(Recommendation: respond to all communication within 72 hours.)

I acknowledge that I am required to upload the final project deliverables to the employer via the Riipen platform at project submission.

I must conduct myself with respect and professionalism towards others at all times while using this service. This includes refraining from harassment, discrimination, hate speech, threats, or any form of abusive behavior that would be considered hateful, religiously, racially or ethnically offensive, or that is otherwise inappropriate or disrespectful at Riipen’s discretion.

Violation of the above conduct may result in immediate removal, suspension, or termination of my service without prior notice.

The program team reserves the right to determine, at their discretion, what constitutes a violation of respectful behavior in line with Riipen’s Acceptable Use Policy.

Any decision made by Riipen or the program team regarding the termination of my service due to a violation of this agreement is final and binding.

I am solely responsible for my actions and behaviors while using this service, and I understand that I must adhere to this agreement to continue using the service.
