Experiences are posted to Riipen’s open marketplace or the portal's private marketplace where employers can view and submit match requests with their projects to the experience.
What differentiates a General Experience from a Private Experience?
General Experience:
These experiences are open to all eligible students across Canada.
Students can apply to join any open cohort to gain access to experiences within the open marketplace. Cohorts each have their own round of applications and set deadlines.
For Employers - Apply for a portal pass with Level UP, and click on the available cohort of Level UP that you would like to participate in and hit “Request Match.”
Private Experience:
These experiences are exclusive to students from specific post-secondary institutions and organizations, that have opted to provide their students with paid experiences within a private environment. Experiences can be catered to specific departments within the institution or apply school-wide.
Cohort dates do not follow the same structure as General cohorts. Private Experience cohorts are facilitated through partnerships and only accessible to students by invitation. Students must apply in order to be considered for participation, and invitations are limited. If your school is participating with a private experience, you will need to access the application through your institutions's unique learner landing page.
For Employers - your company must hold a portal pass for the institution’s portal, to gain access to its exclusive private marketplace. Portal pass applications may involve answering any number of custom questions the institution has set to help them evaluate your company before admitting you to the portal.
