By giving you direct access to learner profiles and a list of learner talent, you can make more informed decisions about which learner teams you want to work with. Main benefits of the Riipen talent pools:

  • Quickly find qualified learners to join your project teams.

  • Save time by searching and filtering through a curated list of available learners.

  • Review full learner profiles to assess fit and experience.

  • Reconnect with learners you’ve successfully worked with in the past.

General

Experience talent pool

Employers can browse potential participants via a Learners tab on experience pages, if it has been enabled by experience administrators. This tab provides a comprehensive view of students currently enrolled in the experience, allowing employers to see detailed information about each learner. Each learner card displays key information such as their education, skills, location, and the number of Riipen projects they have completed, giving employers a quick understanding of a learner’s background and experience.

Employers can use filters to narrow learners by categories, skills, or keywords to quickly find those who match specific project needs. Clicking a learner’s card opens their full profile, showing past project experience, skills, and other relevant details, helping employers evaluate and select the best participants for their projects.

Company talent

Found in your main navigation menu, the Talent tab lists learners your organization has previously worked with. This view makes it easy to reconnect with trusted learners for new projects, review details of past collaborations, and re-engage them for future opportunities.

How to

View an experience's talent pool

To view learners on an experience:

  1. Navigate to the experience you are matched with or are considering to match with.

  2. If the experience has enabled the feature, you will see a "Learners" tab.

  3. Click the "Learners" tab to browse the list of available students.

  4. Click on any learner who interests you to open their full profile and view detailed information, including skills, education, and past project experience.

View the company talent

To view learners your company has previously worked with:

  1. From the main navigation menu, select "Talent" under "Company content".

  2. Browse the list of learners.

  3. Click on a learner’s card to open their profile and view detailed information, including skills, education, and past project experience.

Message a learner

To message a learner directly:

  1. Open the learner’s profile.

  2. Click "Send message" to start a conversation.

Messaging learners is a great way to learn more about their interests, skills, or experience before collaborating. However, keep in mind that learners must still be formally assigned to your project on Riipen in order to participate, receive credit, or gain the benefits of the experience.

Best practices

  • Keep communication on Riipen. Always use Riipen’s messaging system to contact learners. If communication happens outside the platform, we won’t be able to assist you with issues or disputes.

  • Consider multiple potential learners. Identify a few learners you’re interested in, in case your preferred participant isn’t available, so your project can continue smoothly.

FAQs

Why don’t I see the Learners tab on an experience?

The Learners tab must be enabled by the experience administrator. If it’s not visible, contact them to confirm if they can enable this feature on their experience.

Can I pick learners directly from the Learners tab?

You can browse and view learner profiles to evaluate their fit for your project, but learners must still be assigned using the assignment method set for the experience. This could be through applications, self-assignment by the learner, or assignment by the experience administrator.
