Single sign on

Signing into Riipen through a partner

Updated over a week ago

Users can sign up and log in with a single sign on (SSO) partner.

General

Providers

The current list of providers supported for single sign on are:

  • Google

  • LinkedIn

Portal sign on

Learners and educators who are signing up or logging in through a portal may see a custom single sign on provider listed on the sign up and login screen. This is enabled by portal administrators, and will usually be the authentication system used by your institution.

Learning management systems

Educators may choose to enable single sign on capabilities from their Learning Management System (LMS) (Canvas, Blackboard, D2L, Moodle, etc.). Learners will be able to access Riipen via a link inside the LMS which acts like a single sign on provider, but it will not appear as a single sign on provider on the login screen.

If your account was created from one of these LMS providers you will need to set a password if you wish to log in outside of the LMS workflow.
