Worklog

Using Riipen’s time tracking tool to log time spent on a project.

Updated over a week ago

By utilizing Riipen's worklog, learners can log the time spent on tasks for each project they are participating in. This enables educators and employers to track the tasks learners have been working on and the number of hours completed throughout the duration of the project.

Main benefits of using a worklog to track tasks:

  • Acts as a time management tool, helping learners organize their time spent on tasks.

  • Provides transparency into the tasks being worked on, allowing administrators and other team members to see progress in real-time.

  • Serves as a personal documentation tool, recording completed tasks and achievements for reference at the end of the project or when seeking new opportunities.

Best practices

  • Log time entries as you work on tasks or shortly after completing them. This helps ensure accuracy and prevents forgetting details about the work performed.

  • Choose task names that clearly describe the work performed. Avoid vague or ambiguous terms. For example, instead of "Meeting," use "Team kickoff meeting - Project X Planning".

  • Provide additional context or details in the task description if necessary. This could include information about the specific actions taken, outcomes achieved, or any challenges faced during the task.

  • Log the time spent on each task accurately. Be honest and realistic about the time taken to complete the task.
