Flag issues

Report issues about your project to your experience administrator.

Updated over a month ago

This feature introduces a structured system for efficiently reporting and resolving issues that may arise during your projects. As a learner, you may encounter challenges such as unmet expectations, poor communication, or (in rare cases) inappropriate behavior. The flagging system provides a formal, trackable process to address these concerns, empowering you to proactively report issues related to your team or project. By using this feature, you can ensure that problems are identified and resolved in a timely manner.

Key benefits

  • Address issues early to prevent escalation and keep projects on track

  • Maintain a history of flagged concerns for future reference.

  • Address concerns at any time during the project.

General

Flagging

Learners and employers can manually flag issues related to their teams and projects. To flag an issue, learners can navigate to the team's page or the team conversation in the message center, where they will find a 'Flag' icon. After clicking it, they can provide the following details to the experience administrators:

  • Issue Type (e.g., Communication, Unmet expectations, Inappropriate behavior, Other)

  • Specific Members Involved

  • Detailed Explanation of the Issue

  • Supporting Documents to clarify the issue, if applicable

Flag Types

The flagging feature includes several types of flags to cover various concerns:

  • Communication: Report issues related to unclear or insufficient communication.

  • Unmet Expectations: Flag situations where the work or collaboration doesn't meet agreed-upon standards or goals.

  • Inappropriate Behavior: Address conduct that is unprofessional or violates platform guidelines.

  • Other: Use this option for any issues not specifically covered by the above categories.

Review process

Experience administrators are notified when a flag is raised, prompting them to review the issue. They will be provided the following key details to assist in resolving the issue:

  • Creation Date: The date the flag was raised

  • Flagged User(s): Names and profile links of the individuals involved

  • Flag Type: The reason for the flag (e.g., communication issues, unmet expectations)

  • Description: A detailed explanation from the reporter

  • Attachments: Any supporting files provided

  • Reporter: The profile link of the user who submitted the flag

  • Team Link: Direct access to the relevant team's page

The administrators may reach out to you and the parties involved to resolve the issue. Once the issue is resolved, they will update the status of the flag, and you will be notified of the resolution.
