The TalentED YYC program is an exclusive program for invited business Mount Royal University Business Students. Mount Royal University Business Students are to choose their teams and self assign to employer projects. Projects are selected at first come, first served.
1. During the first week of the winter semester (early January, 2025), your instructor will ask if your class would like to participate in this program. If you agree to participate, you will receive an invitation.
2. Each consenting student will receive an email with an invitation on January 13, 2025 to set up a Riipen account and join the TalentED YYC portal. Hit “Accept invite”, complete the fields and click ‘’Create account”.
Note: You and your team members have two days to accept your invitation. Failure to accept by January 15, 2025, may limit your ability to participate in the program. Projects will be available for self-assignment from January 16 to January 23.
3. Once in the TalentED YYC portal, you will be able to view the Mount Royal University - ENTR 4433 Business Plan Development (January 2024) experience.
4. You can click on your user icon in the top right corner of the screen, click on your username, and hit “edit profile” to make yourself stand out to employers. You can further personalize your profile by including a photo, your bio, and uploading your resume. This will be shared with employers when your team self-assigns to a project.
5. Once your profile is set up, select the January 2025 experience. Carefully read and sign the program agreements.
6. Once you’ve signed the agreements, the projects will be unlocked! You can view them on the Experience page.
Projects open for self-assignment on January 16, 2025, with the final day to select one on January 23, if any spots remain. We encourage students to choose their projects as soon as possible, as spots are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

10. To select a project, click on its title and review its content to ensure it’s a good fit for you. Once confirmed, click the "Start Project" button in the top right corner of the page. Note: this action is final, and the project you select is the one you will complete with your team—swapping is not allowed. Projects are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
11. Choose a team name for yourself and remember to add your teammates’ emails in the application under “Invite emails”. This action is important as all team members must be added to the project.
13. Introduce yourself to the employer by highlighting why you’re a strong fit for the project and sharing a bit about your team. Ensure each team member completes the pre-survey, then click "Start Project."
14. 🎉 Your project has been selected successfully! 🎉
15. Remember that completing the pre and post surveys is a requirement of participation.
