For those whose application is accepted.

  1. If accepted into the program, you will receive an invitation via email from team@riipen.com to join the experience on June 15, 2026. Accept the invite.

  2. If you are new to Riipen, you wil be asked to create an account. Use the same email address you used to apply to the program.

Riipen users are only permitted to have one account. If you already have an account, please sign in with your existing credentials. Do not create a new account, as this may prevent you from verifying your identity and accessing opportunities.

  3. Once you create an account or have signed in - update your profile. A complete profile will help you stand out to employers.

  4. Once you accept your Riipen invitation, an Akito account will automatically be created for you using your Riipen login credentials.

You will receive an email from Akito with instructions to access your account. Follow the link provided in the email to log in to the Akito platform

  5. You will apply to projects between June 15 - 30, 2026. All project applications and assessments are completed through Akito.

  6. Once logged in to Akito:

    1. Review the available projects.

    2. Complete the short assessment associated with each project you are interested in.

You are encouraged to complete assessments for as many projects as you would like. Applying to multiple projects increases your chances of being matched with a project that aligns with your skills, interests, and assessment results.

Note: Completing an assessment does not guarantee placement on a project. We strongly recommend completing assessments for multiple projects to increase your chances of being matched.

  7. You will be assigned to your team by July 6th. Project teams are formed based on results of the Akito assessments.

  8. If you are assigned to a project team, you will be able to view your project assignment on the Riipen platform before July 6th. You must begin your project by July 13.

Your first priority should be to connect with your employer partner and schedule a kickoff meeting. This meeting is essential for:

    • Understanding the project scope and objectives

    • Establishing communication preferences and expectations

    • Discussing team and employer availability

    • Clarifying project timelines, milestones, and next steps

Starting strong with a kickoff meeting will help ensure a successful project experience for everyone involved.

    1. Review the available projects.

    2. Complete the short assessment associated with each project you are interested in.
