Matching your project with experiences

Finding experiences for your project.

Updated over a week ago

After publishing a project, the next step is to find and match it with suitable experiences so that learners can complete it. Experiences are created by educators and define the scope and parameters of an experiential learning activity, including topics, timelines, learner abilities, learning objectives, and more.

  • Find learners locally or around the world to assist you with your business goals.

  • Easily communicate with educators and negotiate your project requirements.

  • Automate and customize your matchmaking experience.

General

Open marketplace

Riipen's global platform allows educators worldwide to post experiences, enabling employers to easily browse and match them to projects. The open marketplace shows experiences from all portals on Riipen who are open to working with any company. The best way to find a match is by searching the marketplace using keywords and applying filters like project categories and preferred learner locations. Submit a match request to any experiences that you think will be a good fit for your company.

Private marketplace

If your company holds a portal pass for any given institution’s portal, you gain access to its exclusive private marketplace, where you can explore a curated selection of experiences tailored to connect with projects from companies within the network. While retaining the same search and filter functionalities, submitting requests within the portal marketplace significantly heightens the chances of finding a suitable match, as your company already holds recognition within the portal's network.

Double sided marketplace

While you are browsing the available experiences in either open or private marketplaces, educators will be able to browse both open and private marketplaces of the available projects to them. Educators will be able to find your projects and match them to their existing experiences in the same method you are browsing their experiences.

Match requests & negotiation

Once you have found the right experience, or an educator has found your project and believes it is a great fit for their experience, you will be able to utilize the match request tools and workflows to:

  • Have a private conversation with the educator where you can discuss details, book meetings, and have video conference calls using the message center.

  • Propose and negotiate changes to the project scope and details and easily see what has been proposed vs the original project description

  • Use double-sided acceptance for match requests, ensuring mutual satisfaction with all details before progressing further.

Custom questions

To ensure you receive the most suitable experiences for your projects and to streamline the vetting process, consider using custom matchmaking questions. These questions, established beforehand for your project, are to be answered by educators during their match request submissions. This allows you to assess their responses alongside the details of their experience.

Best practices

Most projects on Riipen typically receive one or more match requests from educators within 14 days of posting. However, you can often find matches with experiences more quickly by:

  • Ensuring the project is well-written and clearly outlines the problems and objectives you are looking to address.

  • Browsing the marketplace and sending match requests regularly.
